"Get up again 4"

Every walking human being on this planet has fallen and risen again. This very human act of rising from a fall can also be understood figuratively. The inspiration to this series of paintings came after a tough year long cancer treatment process. I literally felt like I had fallen down and had to learn to walk again – but physically and figuratively in so many areas.
This series of paintings symbolizes the process of learning where failure (falling) where getting back up again is a big part of the process.
When lining up the paintings in numerological order the series will look like a strip of cartoon. The black and white coloring raising awareness to the simplicity of nature, whilst the realistic painting reminiscent of photo slides in negative, reminding us that negative can also be positive.
